Thanked: 53Quite true; I should have known better. I was using a random 10 character sequence of upper/lower case letters, numbers and special characters and thought that was good enough.
I've taken steps that should prevent it from happening again.
And Paypal was very efficient about the situation, they have already issued full credit to my account.

Thanked: 402Thats good to hear!
I doubt that it is the password though.
The attack starts elsewhere. Maybe with a simple port scan.

Yes, Word of advice, it happened to me. Make your Ebay and Paypal passwords different. I did get my money back. Paypal is good that way. I was actually hacked by a Paypal employee, can you believe it. When I spoke to them, all they could say was, Well, it happens. We can't prevent it. The problem is, you can't get around Paypal, really. Sometimes, you just have to use it.
We have assumed control !
