    I agree that it will probably be very high quality and take an excellent edge- they are after all hand made. Just there seems to be a blur in the line between "custom" and "production". If we are going to call these production, surely LR Harner beat them to being the first production American razor with his blank project? If you watch the video tours of Dovo and TI they are cranking out literally hundreds of razors a day. I have a hard time seeing that happen here- and I would be curious to see how many they can bang out in a day. Also, what is "hand made"? Every video I see of Dovo or TI there are workers doing everything (except etching) by hand- including grinding and honing...

    As for the cost, it seems to be in the ballpark for many of the newer upper end production razors
    Without the desert ironwood scales, blade etch, etc. There's not too much difference in the Dovo line outside of decoration...
    Dovo 41 MOP $260- Vintage*Blades*LLC*::*Dovo...
    Dovo 41 Ebony $135- Vintage*Blades*LLC*::*Dovo...

    is almost a price match for another handmade razor
    Thats my main point- this doesn't seem like America's first (in a long time) production razor, more like America's first *cheap* custom.

    I am not a big fan of the look of the razor/scales/screw, but other than that cannot comment.

    For all i know this was forged from the holy chronik mines.

    You're just jealous that nobody sent you a prototype for review. What's not to like?

    Ah yes, forged of the near sacred chronik alloys with fabled hammers wielded by brawny smiths with arms like legs, under still spreading trees - they seemingly unaware of the current climate consternation.... hmmm, maybe the start of yet another grand tale.

    I need to become an expert at something that facilitates free stuff 'for review'.

    People don't tend to say, "Hey, I should see how the complete newb handles this thing!"
