Default Anybody Interested in some AWESOME razor sets?

Ok, so my local antique store has some real treasures. And I mean REAL. I only wish I was a collector! (It almost makes me want to become one)

There is this older gentleman who has some excellent razor sets at the antique store. They are simply stunning. I only wish I could afford them. BUT! Maybe some of you can! Thats right! I am offering to get these to any of you that are interested. I dont have pics ATM, but the lady said that it should not be a problem. I prolly wont be able to take super high quality pics, but maybe you'll have some confidence in my eye

Here is what comes to the top of my head:

An absolutely stunning Joseph Rodgers "For Barbers Use" set, in horn, with leather case. The blades are in near mint condition, no hone wear that I could see. The horn is brilliant and luminescent, I believe it is buffalo... There are 2 blades, ~ 7/8, 1/4 ground

Another is a Wade & Butcher 7 day set with ivory handle. I did not get a chance to see the entire set, but what I saw was stunning... There are 7 blades, which are interchangable with the ivory handle. The blades are around 6/8, 1/4 ground. (The ivory is stunning!) (I keep using the word "stunning", lol )

Another that I remember was a KEEN set. 2 Blades, but I did not get a chance to look at them. There were also several other 2 blade sets with cases, but I do not recall the brands.

There were also some W&B For Barbers Use. The horn needs some tlc, but the blades are in excellent shape.

Just an FYI, the Joseph Rodgers and W&B set are NOT cheap, and they do not discount (Trust me, I asked... ). so if any of you collectors are interested in any of these sets, let me know. We can work something out and get these to you!

That set is $625. Definitely worth it, IMO.

Pics and prices will come next weekend.

IIRC, the Rodgers set was in the $400's

For vintage Joseph Rodgers razors that's way overpriced.

You could get 2 NOS Doble Temples for 200 bucks apiece for that dough!

I thought so also, but then I saw that they are "For Barbers Use" and cased. IMO, they are reasonable.
