Default What Does a Strop Do? The real Answer is Hard to Take

Yes, it has been argued back and forth by pundits to professors, by experts to eejits. What does a strop do? Well, I can reveal here exclusively live on SRP, that I have discovered the true purpose of strops.

Well, I've been saying this for some time now. Corporal punishment is the key word.

Funny that corporal punishment and razor strops would come up. As a kid when I got my "trip to the woodshed", the old man would often follow up the incident by saying, "Boy, you don't know what an ass whoopin is. When I was a kid, I used to get whipped with a razor strop and was sore for 3 days afterwards. Now that's an ass whoopin." Fortunately for me, his weapons of choice were the open hand pimp slap and the 10D to the buttocks. When household appliances were involved, he generally stuck with the basic cutting board or ping pong paddle so I'm unable to this day to verify his claims.

I got a hunk of plywood with a shape of a hand cut into it. But it was always wielded by my mother. She was one we feared the most.
