So why do these get the high prices? I get that it's a Collector's Item, but so are half the <$100 razors on the bay...

The seller has a great reputation, and deservedly so IMO. His auctions often have repeat bidders.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Wow. I should really make some work of restoring the 8/8 barbers use that has been in my restoration pile since forever.
I could use 500+$. If I sell that and a couple of other large razors, I may be able to buy a pro belt grinder without too much problems.

This razor is about as rare as a beanie baby. I'll never understand these prices. Gssixgun: Any idea how many of these razors have come across your bench over the years? lol.

I suspect the reserve and the BIN are probably scaring off any bids.
    Oh man, you jinxed it.

    It's at 700 now.

You have to give the seller credit for chutzpah though ..... he says,"The imperfection seen at the tip is not a break or crack, just an imperfection in the horn scale, that adds character!"

Wait a bit Bruno, I have a hunch that a guy on another forum that ordered a Bader will be selling it lightly used and cheap before too long ....
