I am of the idea that this was a "gimme" razor. Back in the day, they would have razors ingraved and give to perspective/customers, friends, and employees much as pens, watches, coffee cups, notepads, etc.
I would think it is not so valuable."Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

I would not pay that much for a razor even if it had George Washington's name on it.
