Horror and Hassle
I only paid $4.99 for the razor but by the time I finish with his crap, I'll end paying about $15.00. In one part they say insurance is not offered and in another they say insurance is mandatory. I put in thirty Five years as a Postmaster and it really makes it worse to know how he's sticking it to me. He supposedly sends his material out to a third party and they get $5.00 for postage and $3.00 for handling. I really appreciate you guys allowing me to vent but it ain't over till the fat lady sings.

$5 seems a lot for just domestic shipping(especially since they state 7 businessdays for delivery, which is very slow), which 'third party' does he use?

This thread is a timely reminder to us to definitely read through seller's terms and feedback.
I just bought one of those cell phone in-ear borg-looking headsets from a place on ebay that had 99.5% positive feedback, but I didn't read through the negatives.
It turns out that I get stuck with paying for shipping a defective unit back to them for a replacement. If you are a seller and you send out defective goods, the seller should cover those costs....grrrr. But yeah, it was plain as day in the terms that I didn't read carefully enough.
Also read the feedback they leave for others. It turns out they leave retalitory feedback.
I'm feeling your pain, Big John.

I find that 99.9% of sellers are honest, and try to do the right thing concerning the buyer, however the one or two bad experiences you may have certainly leave a lasting impression.
In my case the reason given for my two red blotches against me are lies from the respective sellers. But what really annoys me the most is that ebay is complicit in the fact by association and you the one that has been wronged has no comeback, short of paying the prick a visit. Ebay always says that there is a range of penalties that they can impose ,but they never do because the seller is paying their bills .Sorry you can see I`m still smarting, enough said ,but I honestly believe that if ebay policed their own rules more diligently concerning the sellers this type of situation would seldom arise because the bad apples would be in the compost where they belong

Thanked: 13I always try hard not to buy from someone who doesn't take PayPal. I just don't see why some people have to be so damn difficult

Oh. My. God.
I read this listing, and it basically makes my eyes hurt. If he wants instant payment with all details, he should swallow the percentage and use paypal. Probably, in the long run, he'd make more money, because I'm sure people bid more on paypal auctions.
And the terms are ludicrious. I hope you come out of it allright. But if a guy's guy 1900 feedbacks, and still has a 98% rating, that 2% is a pretty substantial number of unhappy customers.

Sorry for the double tap here, but after reading through all that garbage, I just noticed -
So, you send them payment (no checks, nothing thath as to be signed for, essentially what old school ebays used to call "guaranteed funds") and they still hold your item for seven business days before they ship it to you. But, you are expected to have payment in their hands within seven calendar days? And they don't care if it's because of the postal service?
Oh, and by the by - WeSellAbsolutelyFantasticRareItems!-AllUHave2DoIsMailCopyOfRInvoice-Pay-Contact#
That makes my head hurt.
I also think, after some time, that mutually withdrawn feedback is another way that ebay favors bad sellers. Because now, someone's feedback rating isn't always an accurate depiction of how bad they are. I'm fighting with a seller now who has 99% feedback - with 37 mutually withdrawn. Sheesh.
