    Default Ebay Horror and Hassle

I have just had the worst experience on Ebay with an antique dealer by the name of dto711. I bought a razor from them Saturday and for once forgot to read the fine print. First of all they don't except paypal. Then they want you to send them your full name and mailing address, phone number, and a good Email address with out the spam blocker.
I emailed the guy from the Ebay website and asked him to send me the total amount I owe and I would send a cashiers check. They are suppose to send me an invoice and I'm suppose to return the invoice with the right amount of money. I made a freaking mistake with doing business with this person this time but I bet it doesn't happen again. I'll try to send the URL as an attachment. Then you guys can read and be aware. I don't know you may already know this shi*head. Please let me how you handled the situation

I'm having a nightmare too with one of my ebay purchases.

I bought a swaty that, I think, didn't go for as much as the seller woud have liked.
I've requested an invoice for the total amount, with shipping to the UK.
I have yet to receive a reply to any of my requests via ebay email, and have a feeling that the seller is going to pull out.

If he refuses to supply the goods, I'll report him to ebay, especially if he tries to re-list it to get a better price.

    Watch this space!!!!

This guy may be a wacko but these terms were also listed in large print. Next time be careful who you deal with. If there are any issues like no quoted shipping, always ask first.
If I were you, I'd do it his way (but open up a new hotmail or gmail account, which I'd close right after finishing this transaction). If possible use a no-answer are always busy number instead of your home phone number. That way you give him all of the "required" information, while protecting your privacy.

I now avoid sellers who don't take paypal. Too much hasle to pay them unless the deal is exceptional.

I steer wide of any seller who lists the way this guy does. If the disclaimers and conditions in the listing are that long and numerousj, are listed in rainbow colors on a colored background then it is too much effort on my part to read it.

It is a strong sign that I can't be bothered to deal with them no matter what deal they are offering. They seem to go to great lengths to list a lot of conditions but make sure that I am discouraged from reading them by the length, colors, fonts and backgrounds that confuse and obfuscate. A listing like that screams "con-artist" at me.

I tend to avoid anyone with big text, backgrounds like that, people who can't spell their own mothertongue and 'blessers'. This guy incorporates them all.

"Ur Bid PROMISED us FULL NAME, PHYSICAL ADDRESS, DAY PHONE # IN (3) DAYS as PAY" you know, ignoring his horrible IM spelling, what is said here is that he wants you to send this data as *payment*, that sure is cheap!

I went through all his feed back ,If there is ever a case for anyone to be banned from ebay ,he is ,and he obviously needs mental help
Ebay looking after its own interests again.
It certainly leaves a bad taste
    Kind regards Peter

northpole: after a week of non-response, send him http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/...rformance.html via the ebay messaging system (whatever you do, always use their messaging system, that gives ebay a trace to work with)

    Yipes.

The only thing I can say in favor about the seller wanting the phone# is that FedEx does require a contact phone number in order to ship a package. We ship with FedEx and if, for some reason, I don't have my customer's phone number, then I put mine in. There was at least 2 times where I got a call from the FedEx driver who was trying to find the place he was delivering to. And, of course, I couldn't help him out.

But that is it. I would never bid on this guy's stuff. Look at all the negatives!

This is probably the funniest feedback I've ever read:

NEVER AGAIN! followed shipping nazi's rules and still waiting after three weeks

I've gotten some of my best deals on non-paypal auctions. I just snipe low so if I get screwed it doesn't hurt.
