The thing i ben thinking be funny if it was that seller who posted the question.
Cause a new person to straight razor shaving will never pay that kind of money.
Someone who ben using them for along time be really picky about what they spend alot of money on.

Non-original Scales, that are also way out of proportion.
Not all that old either, (in SR terms) note the tail on the razor, the really oldie mouldies have a stub tail..

I detest the words "Extremely Rare" that just tells me the seller doesn't really know the facts, I personally have restored 3 of these Tilliotson razors and honed a few more...
The Pawn Stars reference means jack squat to most SRP members, as we are all about the steel and the shave...

Other than that it all depends on what turns your SR prop
Would 100 percent agree once bought of lot of old blades with alot of rust. Many old engish blades where in it. Not one old english blade had wooden scales like that. scales like that are must likely a cheap replacement scales to make the a useable item again.

Well then he is very much a salesman then isn't he. I mean he puts' it up for what he thinks it's worth and then maybe hits all the forums to advertise for free. I am sure he will get his 20% e-Bay fee back. He put a reserve on it so he won't lose it. Got to give him an A+ for effort that is for sure. He is shooting for the moon. I don't think he is going to make it but nothing in this world surprises me anymore.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

That never even crossed my mind, but come to think of it, if you're wondering about someone else's item, the language "Thanks in advance for the feedback" is a little weird.

I guess I'm making a comment about equality and equity, and I know I'm WAY off topic... I'll illustrate this with two appropriate smilies...

BTW, I mean no disrespect to either customers of the shop owners nor the shop owners, I'm sure it's a very trying job and tough times...

Yeah we are way off topic, but this topic is a dead rotten horse that really needs no more kicking...so I will continue on your vector.

It may seem like a vendor treats his/her customers badly...perhaps they do, but do the customers also treat the vendor badly? Is it simply a product of the culture? I have seen dealings that looked like precursors to a fist fight...and locals tell me that it is the normal way of things. Yelling and screaming can be a sign of true human emotion...or simply ploys and tactics hoping to elicit fear or sympathy (that will not come...for that boy has cried wolf far too many times)

I also wouldn't buy anything that pass though the hands of the pawn stars period.
Cause some dude i work with quoted them once when someone tryed to sell a gold plated safety razor.
saying that people who collect vintage razor are fools or something along those lines but 100 percent
    sure didn't see that one.

I saw the episode your talking about, the razor was rumored to been owned by a sheek or the king of Iran. It was gold plated and very nice but had no paperwork so it was not purchased by Pawn Stars. I do remember Rick saying there arn't alot of collectors interested for the amount of money the guy wanted.
