Silly Seller - Probably Lost Big Money Here
Check this out - maybe the biggest blade I've ever seen on a straight. Just look at the tang alone. I was expecting the auction to go well over $400, maybe even into the $700 range. But the seller canceled bids and ended the auction in order to relist it with a buy-it-now of $75.
Some ballsy person got a damned good deal....
And here's a pic so when the auction page disappears, people can still see what I'm talking about.

Thanked: 3226Time to stuff my earballs back in. That is a whopper of a blade. The scrap metal value might be more than $75.00.

After your morning shave, you could go out and chop firewood with that :P
That would have been an awesome acquisition for someone.

Maybe he wanted to list a Buy Now for $750.00 after seeing what they go for, missed a 0 and it was gone before he even realized his mistake.

For the love of God, it comes in a shoebox.
One time, in band camp, I shaved with a Gold Dollar razor.

I'd tend to agree with Max's theory. And I bet you whoever won it will not be getting it.

I didn't get that one but lightning does sometimes strike twice ..... i did get this one on an originally listed 'buy it now' and it cost me a whopping $50 bucks. The seller turned out to live 20 minutes away, I didn't know him, and we met at a Dunkin Donuts halfway between where he lived and my place. I paid cash and collected the razor with no shipping charge. A 10/8 Joseph Rodgers & Sons in the box that belonged to his grandfather. It had a chip and I had quite a bit of honing to do. Lost a bit of the edge and it ended being 1/16 shy of the original 10/8, but for fifty bucks and a few hours work I'm happy.
