Default General census on how fellow gents are cleaning the blade between passes?

We all know not to fill a sink and swash the blade in there. On my first shave I used running water. I found the running water method needed to be followed by a towel swipe. Also I have a pedestal sink with no counter space to place a towel. Laying the towel over the sink requires constant re-positioning.
So this is one of the areas I would like to find a good method for so I can eliminate the distractions and focus on my technique.

Geofatboy has a video tip where he swipes the blade on the forearm "spine leading first" I thought this was very good tip.

So does any one have any other methods they would like to share?

I run under hot water when it gets all filled with lather, then wipe on a dry towel. I keep the towel folded up either on the edge of the sink or my toilet tank. I use it only for wiping the razor clean between passes and usually only have six or seven passes per shave, so I can always use a dry surface. I use a different hanging towel to dry my shaving hand when I switch hands.

I lay a towel on the counter and gently strop off the lather there. I realize you have no counter space. I think Geo's method is pretty creative but I don't think I would have enough forearm space for a whole shave. You could possibly try a hanging towel. I started out using running water but got discouraged when I started getting corrosion at the hinge pin. So, I now swipe the towel. Not as effective but it keeps the pin dry.

I fold a moist face-cloth to around a 5"x5" square and lay it on the edge of the sink. Then as I shave, I just wipe the blade on the cloth as needed. I rinse it between passes at the same time I rinse my face, before applying the next lather. Very safe for the edge and convenient.

Under running water and use my hand to swipe it normally.
Some days I use a towel, those days I use some Cognac on the side too!

I usually shave with a towel about my waist and rinse under the sink, then if needed I wipe off on the towel around my waist. Though if I don't shave directly after a shower I use a hanging towel.

I just rinse and shave, never had a problem doing it that way. Once in a blue moon I'll use a towel (usually in hotel rooms), but to me it seems wasteful to use a new towel every shave - that creates laundry and I hate doing laundry

I keep a large sponge (car washing kind) dampened on the edge of the sink, or any flat surface nearby. Wipe when needed, occasionally slicing the edge of the sponge with no ill effect on the razor. I use 4/8's and 5/8's so a lot of wiping. Gives me a sec or two to stop and see what I've done and need to do on my face. Rinse and squeeze sponge when done and wipe my face with it.

+ 1 on this. Swilling frequently under running water works for me.

It amazes me that some people are afraid to get their razor wet. Get it wet, dry it properly, job done. Just my opinion, of course.
