I find the website's structure unnecessary overly complex. For a single answer i spend 20 minutes navigating around the website going in circles. By that time i get distracted with something else, and the question never gets answered. By that time i can either A) post a thread and discuss how i didnt research properly, B) keep googling, or C) just post the question on yahoo answers. Which is what ill probably do next time.

If i go to Library in the upper tab, with the page that is displayed, i do not see a link to get to Acronyms and Abbreviations. I see all the categories, but nothing relating to abbreviations. The only method i have been able to get there is from the links posted on this thread.

The only thing i see related is in the FAQ which is pretty much useless

What i find humorous is that it tells you to go to a link, however the HTML actually displays the link attributes instead of the link to get there. So i find myself just going in circles again.
    Hi there,
With increased use the site gets much easier to navigate, though it's not overly complex, really. Of course it's always great to find information yourself, but I think you'll find that simply asking a question in the main thread of the subject (i.e. honing for a honing question) will get a LOT of responses. You'll find us to be quite a helpful bunch and I don't really come across people getting 'cross' at others for not researching but just asking the question, even when some of us see the same question asked over and over again ;-)

We're looking at creating a 'top ten eternal straight shaver questions' area but it's a work in progress.

As a newer user often gets swamped with answers (as I said, we're very helpful, almost to a fault) and at times the opinions can vary, sometimes it's best to hook up with a mentor and PM them your question. This way you'll get almost customised and personalised support.

We do really aim to provide useful information, so do really encourage new users to ask here, but of course you could use whatever site you wish. Many of us actually genuinely enjoy helping others, so don't hesitate to ask.

    Hope this helps.
