    Good luck! Where in the UK are you? There may be someone on here near to you willing to act as a mentor! I was lucky enough to have a superb honemeister just half an hour away! I learnt more off him in an hour of demos than days of YouTube videos.

    How does this mentoring thing work? Do you have to pay? I think I'd feel uncomfortable unless I was paying.

    What do you mean by "shave stick"?I have some DE razors and a feather DX for travel. I probably have 5 years worth of DE blades

    I emailed them and they said "more metal to them, a bit more weighty and stiffer" half hollow.

    Mentoring is free, thats how it works, then you can do the same for someone else, for the basics you will probably only need a few hours face to facea couple of times. i got all of my mentoring via PM due to the lack of mentors in my area. most guys will like being able to show off their gear.

    A shave stick is a stick of shaving soap.
