Thanked: 0Travel
What makes for a good travel set? I brought my entire setup on the road today and it takes up too much room!
Examples and links appreciated. Obviously I know that smaller stuff is better but with the entirety of my shopping online I don't have a good feel for the products.

Are you looking for input on creams, aftershave, brushes or razors, or kits?
I normally use a roll-up Dopp kit with a shaving soap stick, my regular brush, and a Gillette Superspeed DE razor. Occasionally I bring along a Red Imp straight razor in its original plastic box. Trumper's Skin Food in a 100 ml bottle has been my go to in the past but this summer I was using sample aftershave in 10 ml spray bottles.Last edited by Leatherstockiings; 08-17-2015 at 06:45 PM. Thanked: 3226Got the same roll up kit seems to hold all I need. In it I put:
Shave kit
1 - DE (Merkur slant) and pack of spare blades
1 - Shave stick (Palmolive/Arko) in a container
1 - Simpsons Classic 1 synthetic brush comes supplied with a container
1 - Small size (60g/2.1oz) deodorant alum for post shave
1 - 75ml aftershave
The rest is the usual travel size tooth paste, deodorant, band aids, a tooth brush and my meds.
The same fits in my dopp bag but the roll up takes no counter space, just hangs on the back of the can door for access.

As Bob said, these roll-up kits can be hung up so you save on counter space and keep your gear dry.

Thanked: 4827I'm feeling like a bit of a bathroom hog. I have two of those roll up kits and a full size strop. I work a three week rotation in a remote location so I bring all that may be needed. There is no store conveniently located, so all my vitamins, Advil and the works are in the roll ups. I bring one soap, aftershave and brush, one or two razors and the full size strop. It all fits into a small backpack, because I drive here i am not worried about checked bags.

Thanked: 0That is indeed a nice looking travel bag...
I may have to salivate over that for a while and then buy one.
