Activity in the classified section seems to have substantially dwindled over the years. It was much more active before, especially the wtb/wtt. Not sure why, maybe sellers prefer ebay now? My first straight razor was purchased from the classifieds from the yahoo straight razor place… I am a nostalgic.

From my experience, while people on this forum selling in the classifieds are trustworthy, newbies to the forum don't know that. A lot of forums (not just razor forums, all hobbies) have classified sections, and the policy is generally buyer assumes all risk. When something is quite discounted, it's assumed there is something wrong with it rather than someone is being generous trying to help out new folks. A new razor is usually a known quantity if advice is taken about buying a good razor from a reputable source.

I had already purchased a razor from SRD before I found the forums (got the link to both from Lynn's videos on YouTube), so I stumbled on good luck by accident.
