Thanked: 0After some research yesterday I found that people liked his edges and he was pretty good at it so that's a plus. My research also showed that some of the dovo razors have issues but as the own of invisible edge hones them he sendsaid back inferior blades and has new ones sent back. So he has close to a 100% satisfaction rate which again, is a plus

Thanked: 3225That is why I could not answer your questions directly as I have never had a Dovo or bought from TIE and suggested a site search. I have read of Dovos having problems and people being satisfied with TIE. I try not to comment directly on something I have not had personal experience with.

Thanked: 0ok my dovo came today and i must say. much better shave quality, no irritation and managed to get my face mostly but smooth in 2 passes and only cut myself 4 times.
Overall I am impressed with this purchase. So much nice to shave with and the weight distribution is spot on.

Thanked: 7I always rub an Alum block over my face after shaving, and it does sting briefly, but does give a good indication of the quality of the shave, stops minor bleeds and seems to reduce or stop razor burn. I leave it on my face while I clean the brush and bowl, then wash it off before applying aftershave balm. I'm into the 70+ shaves now and it really does get better bit by bit as time goes on.

Thanked: 0This is the progression so far. Still a long way to go

Does this look like a decent stropping technique? already had to replace one strop lol managed to damage it with my test knife but I feel as though this is good technique, if anyone can correct that please do.

Thanked: 3795I have one suggestion and it should help a lot. Leave the spine down on the strop while you flip the blade. You appear to be lifting it off and then lowering the blade to the strop. One bad landing and you may cut your strop and/or fold over your edge. This may feel awkward at first since it is not what you are used to but now is the time to break bad habits and develop proper ones. The spine should maintain constant contact with the strop while you roll the blade over the spine and then gently land the edge onto the strop and then begin your next stroke.

Thanked: 0I do have a mad habit of lifting the spine, you are right there, dont understand why it is so hard to keep that spine down, but what I have notice is that when i put it back down the spine goes down first then the sharp edge, but still, I need to stop this
