+1 Welcome to the forum!
Cannot emphasize enough that you need to get your razor honed by a honemeister. No matter what the manufacturer claims, they rarely, rarely, rarely ever have a good enough edge to actually shave after the appropriate amount of stropping.
Also, keep your strop taunt and your razor pressure light on the strop. You can easily ruin a well honed edge with a slack strop or too much pressure.
