Thanked: 234Variety is indeed, the spice of life!
Razors are (generally) cheap, they come in all different shapes and sizes and they all feel different.
It's just nice, once you've bought the second one, what's another $10?

Thanked: 4942I think you need as many razors as you can get, especially right now!!!!
I hear they are going to put a ban on assault razors and the regular straights might get caught in the mix. Buy all that you can get your hands on. Hurry!!!!
This way you can hide a bunch and always have one to shave with after they kick your doors down..............
Have fun,

+1, I have a concealed carry permit, so I don't have to wait when I buy my str8......
Back in the day, A 7 day set was for the well off. Most men had A razor, period. Those with more money could afford a 7 day set. It will cut down on your honing for one, not stropping really. You should strop prior to every shave, Heck some guys strop inbetween passes..If for nothing else, it'll clean up your edge. You'd be surprised what your edge can pick up just sitting there. Plus, if your like most of the members here, it's gets addictive, There's always, One more razor that you want...We're always looking for "Shavevana" I like to have different choices as no two razors shave alike, each is unique to me....
As far as letting the edge rest between shaves, I don't think there's any evidence of that. It may be a falicy. I do believe you should have at least 2, if not 50 razors.....We have assumed control !

Thanked: 234The most I have paid is $30. of my 6, three were under $10, 2 under $20 and my first one that was $30, which was a good deal for a shave ready really.

I went through that phase ...
Unfortunately for my wallet, I am picking up the blades that are supposedly hard to find.
I just want to try different blades, thats all.
Although I could probably be very comfortable with three razors, I prefer the 'snowed in' method of collecting razors.

Thanked: 132Isnt the steel, on a razor, supposed to rest for 24-36 hours after shaving? Thought i read that somewhere...the would require at least two razors for men with moderate facial hair growth...
