In fact it's worth noting that in olden times they would shave to get rid of lice then wear a merkin (pubic wig) to restore a normal look.

they would also crap in the streets, flog people in the public square, and die of the bubonic plague.

it's also "natural" to have a beard down to your waist, but us shaving afficianados have moved past all that. as man evolves and grows, he tends towards hairlessness. not sure why. the romans and greeks also removed all body hair during the height of their civilization, it wasn't 'till medeival times that pubes came back into style, and I'm guessing that was more from neglect.
