Under $50 I always recommend the same strop an Illinois #827 Russian you can get them for about $30 and they have linen and leather and work great....
I wholeheartedly concur! Stay away from ebay strops, I have bought several in the last few years, even in a good picture you cant tell what you are getting. On the low end think Illinois, on the other end I would go for the SRD. I finally graduated to an SRD premium strop(thanks Lynn) and can boast of their quality.
