That would be a nice set to show off. But based on what people have said about them here, I would not want to shave with them. If you posted a contest for the, I would still enter, just to have a nice set to show.

Thanked: 2I do appreciate the info on my sweeneys!! Yeah, they make a cool pocket knife conversation piece. As long as you have a sheath to carry it in, in your pocket. Would hate for it to open up in thar! LOL!

Thanked: 2oh, I didn't see the WR Case razor mentioned in the list of inferior razors. That was a relief!

Count me in for consideration please!!
I am brand new to the forum having just registered last night to attempt to acquire a wapi as my first straight. I am also continually checking the Tony Miller site for a strop but not sure when I'll find one in stock.
Winning this would set me up nicely.
I am in the forces and therefore HAVE to shave everyday and want to make it a more pleasurable experience and as I live in the UK I don't quite have the access to the wealth of kit most of you guys seem to.
Looking forward to participating on here anyway, win or lose.
Cheers
Jim

Slight Modification
I've discussed the rules that I set up for this PIF with a few friends, both online and in person. All but one thought that I should extend the membership qualification to two months and allow an extra week for entries.
While I thought that the initial terms would ensure a relative newcomer, I was reminded how long it took me to acquire my first razor, and that it may take a few days for newcomers to notice the opportunity. There's so much for a newcomer to read on the forum that they may overlook the opportunity. I remember missing out on a few PIFs when I first started, mainly because I didn't respond fast enough.
I had hoped to be able to edit my initial message, but the system won't allow such changes, which is fine. Still, I've learned to follow the advice of the people I respect (most of the time), so with that in mind I'd like to announce that I'm expanding the qualifications to include anyone who registered on or after June 1, 2009. Also, I'll allow entries through August 16 and will plan to announce the chosen winner on the August 17.
Mods, if you can change the terms on the original message I'd appreciate it, but this update should suffice if it can't be done.
Thanks again, everyone, for making this one of the best forums on the net.

I'd like to apply for the contest, but I have to admit I've recently acquired six razors. Though none of them are shave ready. Nor have I got any of the other items necessary to shave.
I'd love to win this contest cuz it would enable me to get familiar with shaving with a nice kit whilst honing my honing skills on my other razors instead of afterwards.

Thanked: 10This is an amazing giveaway, it's almost too bad I just ordered a razor. Good luck to all the fellow newbies.
I wouldn't jump the gun on rearranging the rules just yet, S-4-C. Give it a little more time and see how many sign up. You may get quite a few more over the course of the day.
EDIT: Can't believe I put this on without even checking to see when the thread was started or noticing the second page of posts.Last edited by SlickWillyTFCF; 08-06-2009 at 02:52 PM.
