Just have fun and tell them that you cut your self with a straight razor. Then comes the "What?, Like the barber?, Like in the movies?" etc... Usually after that they will think you are crazy.
At least those have been the majority of the reactions I have gotten when I tell someone how I shave. No major cuts so far and hopefully ever.

Thanked: 77When I started and got the occasional nick, cut or rash - people didn't ask. (Either didn't notice or being polite).
Once I had a couple of cuts it was more obvious and one of my yr 7 students asked me about them. I said I'd tell them later and meant to, but didn't.
While I don't mind saying I cut myself shaving, I see this as a more private activity - if that makes sense. I'm happy to talk about straight razor shaving with anyone, but generally keep it as my own thing.
If I wanted to have fun though - I'd say it was a sabre cut from a duel.
I'm not sure what would get the better reaction - saying this or telling the truth!
All the best,
Michael.

Thanked: 2Just after I started straight-razor shaving, I went around the office for a couple of days telling everyone "You don't talk about Fight Club!"
