    Default Stropping Question

    Gentlemen:

I have yet to bother with the HHT test. Too much is made of it, I agree. What's important is how the razor shaves.

    Regards,
    Obie

It's mostly all about the bevel. If it's not 100% you can tweak it with pastes etc to pass HHT & even give a shave of sorts but it won't last. Just shave it for a while without the paste & see how long you get before its uncomfortable. If you only get a few shaves till it starts tugging & you're sure of the steel then I'd bet the bevel is not optimal.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

The worse is when there is science behind the HHT and there is level of performance like HHT-1 or HHT-2, ugh, I can't work with it, it's frustrating.
