Hi Im Steve and I have RAD , (you say "hi Steve")
To keep the obvious from my wife I have two methods that I use:
1. Have newly purchased items come on the days she is working
2. Sell some things on ebay. The idea being that your not really spending money as your sales are still being processed and have not caught up with your purchases. This one can be tricky to implament but can be done with some prep.
Good luck

JoeD. finished my Torrey and is sending it back to me! He was so nice to deal with and I bet he did an outstanding job on the razor!

I bought a boker 1056. Those razors are incredible looking. If it shaves half as well as the 281 I shaved with earlier...it'll be a beast.

A friend of the family owns an Antique shop. She said she's gonna get her straights out for me. She has a dozen or so. I'll probably buy her out unless some are crap. Even if they aren't in the best shape...i need something to practice honing on. *Finger's crossed that I can pull out a few gems*
She also has a glass display cabinet that was used for pocket knives. Hopefully, it can be modified for my straights...if not T.I. makes a beautiful 7 day case that'll I'll purchase as a christmas present to myself.

I really feel like I'm talking to myself in here....
But you know what...
It doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Thanked: 275The first few antique shop razors I bought taught me a lot about honing -- often more than I wanted to know.<g>
I became a lot more selective after that start.
Larry Andreassan (sorry if I spelled that wrong) said that there are very few _bad_ vintage razors. If the prices are reasonable, and you want the experience, you'll have a nice time and some good razors at the end of it.
