My best razor cost me 20$ (shave ready to !) off the classifieds. Cosmeticaly, it's not the greatest, but it shaves like a dream. Got to love geneva cutlery !!

That kind of deal is rare though, but if you`re patient, you CAN find some inexpensive good qulity razors.

The classifieds are the way to go if you want an inexpesive GOOD razor.

    Bonne chance !

    Glenn.

Most of the razors I bought have been less than $20. However, most of them needed restoration, which I am doing for myself.
I have purchased 1 or 2 that needed no restoration, just a good honing.

I am new to straight razors & all the razors I own I found on ebay for under $20. You can find a deal on ebay but they are few and far between. So if your going to go this route you are going to have to be patient and do your homework. You also need to ask the seller any questions that you may have, and make sure you can tell the condition of the razor in the photos or its a crap shoot. Also 99.9% of razors on ebay are not shave ready so you need to decide if you are going to hone it yourself or are you going to dabble in trying to hone it yourself. I went with learning to hone myself. I got myself a small coticule combo witch fit well for my honing needs and my minimal budget, considering I can go from setting a bevel to finishing on this stone. Here are two razors that i got for under $20, a Joseph Rodgers & Sons 6/8, and a Hilger & sons 5/8

    Regards, & good luck,
    Louis.
