    Question Wipe or rinse?

Just wondering what everyone else does when it comes time to clean off the soap and hair? Do you stick the razor under hot tap water or just wipe it on a towel? Thought I remember reading something about not getting the SR wet, because of staining and rust! I have been sticking it under hot tap water, and just wiping it dry with some TP. What's the verdict?

I wipe my razor off on a towel during my shave and at the end I will give it a quick rince under the tap then another wipe on the towel before I strop and store away.

I wipe mine on the thumb of my free hand and then onto a facecloth draped over the sink, careful though lol

The key is not to get the scales wet.

I rinse the blade under running water during the shave and then wipe it off with a towel before the next pass.

When I'm done shaving, I wipe it off on the towel again and let it fully dry while dressing, before I put it up.

    Have fun,

    Lynn

My razor, scales and all, get wet just from the mist in my bathroom. I have noticed that the razor has become more stiff to open. I've only used it 3 times, by the way. I wonder if it's just in my imagination.

I do both. Rinse off the cream or soap and then give it a wipe before the next pass.

I rinse it off under the tap, but keep the hinge dry. My first straight rusted at the hinge because I would put it under the tap when I rinsed off the soap/shave oil.

I wipe on a damp towel ( the same towel I apply to my face before the shave) and wipe dry after the shave, oil, and store. I wipe with the spine leading, so as not to dull the blade on the towel.
I strop my razor with my eyes closed.

I rinse with hot water while shaving, and when I'm done, I wipe as much water off as I can without getting near the edge, then dry it the rest of the way with a couple of passes on my towel in a stropping motion.

I rinse under the hot tap. When I'm done I dry with a cloth with a stropping motion and blow air through the scales though I'm careful not to get water or soap on the scales. I leave the razor out open and put it away an hour or so later.
