They have about a half dozen that I want AND CAN AFFORD! They have about (n - hD) that I want, where 'n' is the number of razors they sell, and 'hD' is the half dozen I can afford.

Very true. I was actually surprised how affordable they are.

    elsmooth,

+1 to the Dovo Best; it seems to have ideal chracteristics to learn with, both shaving and honing.

The steel has just the right hardness - it keeps an edge for a reasonable period and is also very easy to maintain, responding extremely well to CrOx pasted strops.

My Best (5/8 half-hollow) was the first new razor I bought when I got back into straight razor shaving, and it is still in my rotation; a lovely shaver and a true workhorse

    Have fun !

    Best regards

    Russ
