What I love about SRP is the patience, kindness, and helpfulness that is shown to Newbies by the SRP members. This site is unique for its gentlemen-like character. I, for one, do not miss the "put-downs" and snide, biting comments so often found on Internet sites.

My Poor Man's Strop and razor arrived today. I plan to try it out sometime over the next couple of days. Larry is great to deal with.

I'd like to add my kudo's to Larry as well. I bought my first(and only) straight razor from him after ogling the available goodie's on his site for probably a month. I also ordered the poor man's strop from him and the vintage case. I had great communication from him via several emails over the course of one day and although I ordered my razor on a Thursday it felt like it only took 2-3 days to get to me. He also included the balsa wood with the crox applied and 2 small bags of extra crox for me to use. Great service from a great guy. Almost forgot to add that he also included several pages of information that he printed up on straight shaving with my order and I thought that was just icing on the cake after everything else.

I couldn't agree with all the above more. I just ordered my first straight and strop from him using the Sight Unseen offer and even though the deal was supposed to make it easier for him, he still answered all my questions. I've been emailing back and forth with him today AFTER THE SALE and he still takes his time and answers everything asked of him. GREAT guy, I'll definitely be going back....soon!

What a great thread. Usually people don't get together and gush nice things about someone until there is a funeral. Nice to be able to do it when they are still walking this earth.

I remember my transition to straights and the wisdom and encouragement that Larry offered along with a discount on shipping and great products that I use to this day! Go Larry!
What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one
