Thanked: 7I've had the great pleasure to buy a couple of times from Larry and I proudly add my attaboys for his service and his philosophy. As everyone knows by now, you can easliy overspend getting into something new, and Larry's business blatently caters to newbies. His reputation just continues to grow and I, for one, am very pleased that he's a part of our passion. Thanks, Larry!

I too wish I had heard of Larry before I spent so much money on junk. Class act all around. Nice man.

Thanked: 1I'm going to have to join everyone and agree that Larry was a class act. Ordered my first straight and strop kit from him about 3 months ago and have not regretted that decision. Keep up the excellent work!!!!!!!

From what I read about Larry on these threads, he sounds like an amazing and generous guy. Here in the UK I have not met someone who seems to so passionate as Mr. Andrreassen about straight razor shaving, and helping new people, even at the respected London barbers.

My experience with barbers here in the U.S. has not been exactly stellar either. There are a lot of good members in your neck of the woods. Look them up via the member search or the member map (community link in the menu bar above). The whole reason we're here on SRP is to help one another with this shaving business.
Peace,

Thanked: 7Alexander, my personal opinion is that Larry has accomplished the ultimate in the business world -- he's found a niche and figured out how to fill it. Larry states his business caters to newbies, and he does that quite well, but with a strong dose of integrity, honesty and accountability. For example, I understand he will gladly accept returns if his customers are not satisfied. To me, that speaks volumes. Now, since he's not in business to accept returns, he has to provide the appropriate quality in the first place in order to satisfy those customers. He doesn't sell $25 razors for $200, he sells $25 razors for $25. That's value.
I'm happy to say I follow this same model in my business dealings, and I sleep very soundly at night. I'm sure Larry does, too. We can all take notice that business can indeed be conducted this way. Always! I hope everyone agrees.

Just ordered my first real straight from him a few days ago. It's in the mail now. Very nice guy. Answered back quickly. I was probably very annoying haha.

Dude, all us newbies are annoying!!! True, very very true. There's been more than one person around here that put up with my annoyances. Larry included!!! Yes, you have to learn somewhere, the hard way or the easy way. I found the hard way first, of course. That's my mode of operation. Others were lucky enough to find a guy like Larry first. They are the lucky ones..
