I haven't used him personally but there are a lot of threads about his company and the services provided. I imagine a quick search would throw up a lot of answers to this one.

Last december i was introduce in traditional straight shaving, since i wet shave on a budget a member talk to me about Whipped dog(Larry). For me the price was right and i tought to myself what do i have to losse, Larry send me a flawed straight and a poor man strop whit the balsa strop whit green and red oxide powder but whit more then that really good instruction whit is email adress. Since then i had such a great after sale service any difficuty i had he help me out whitout any issitation, i can't say how much this guy is great. Since then i ordered another razor from him the razors that he send to people are very dependable and i want be affraid to order another razor or any other product that he sell. The first straight is a 9/16 flawed and the other is a 5/8 round point, you can even ask for some preffence and he will accomode you the best he can, just that for me i call it great service. For me my i can't afford a new straight but honnestly for me it's not important cause the razors that he send me are in great shape and i'm satisfied whit what i got. they look nice,
can you tell me where they are flawed? all I see is a few dark spots on each blade is that the only flaws?
if those are the only flaws , I wouldn't relly call them flawed

To be honnest the black spots yes and for the 9/16 the scale is a bit warped but that's it, so for me to i whouldn't called that flawed.

I am lucky enough to live and work closer to Larry. I ordered my first razor from him and picked it up yesterday. Razor looks great. Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but he stressed that I keep his email handy so I can get my questions answered quickly. I have no doubt that I we'll tans advantage or his inlaid and continue to pay for his service moving forward.

My first was a sight unseen from Larry, great edge but was not the prettiest. Larry put up with all my smart newby questions and answered them with what in hindsight is great restraint. I would not give up my first razor for anything even though it was only $25.

Definitely going to have to look into Whipped Dog after a couple of *Bay bad experiences! At this point, slight flaws but shave ready sounds like the best deal!
How does the poor mans strop work out for you guys?

Just crap about how he hones to a slight smile when I got the razor and some feedback that in 20 20 hindsight was blatantly obvious, just that larry must be a patient man is all I can say.
