Weeeeeelll it is definitely not as easy as it sounds when its on your face. and I was trying to be as careful as possible while making sure I stayed in the focus field (using a flip 50 is all manual focus)... I looked awasy for a moment and got knicked... was bad.. just a tiny nip, but anough for me to realize that it wasn't going to happen.. My wife is an autofocus only type person.. so I am going to try again tomorrow only I am going to use my arm... I will be able to lay my arm on the table and it wont move out of the field... I guess since I test my blades on my arm hairs anyway it can't be that much different.. I DO NOT recommend macro video of the face while shaving.. hahahahah..
What you describe is exactly why I haven't pursued the shave cam any further. The depth of field is almost impossible to work with while moving, and to watch a monitor while shaving leads to nicks. Fortunately I sliced my thumb, and not my face.
