It's been quite a few years since I cut myself while SR shaving. But I recall the last time I did, I was working behind my jaw bone and for whatever reason, the edge bumped me in the face and made a 1" nuisance cut. I called it a nuisance cut because I did not have seek medical attention and it was more of an inconvenience. I have been SR shaving 5 years and I found that I nick myself more when I use a DE than I do a SR; so over time I switched to SR only.
As for healing, I used pressure on the cut then styptic and I'll add a bandaid. Then the guys at work razz me about shaving with a chainsaw. :-)

Thanked: 4207Last time was October 31-2014 for me. When I removed the lip caterpillar for Movember. So distracted by all that new exposed upper lip area I lost my focus, briefly, and gashed both sides of my lip line.
First year of shaving I nicked myself often. And almost always due to hand repositioning with the blade against my face still. Once I learned the decidedly obvious trick of lifting the blade before any lateral motion, things stopped flowing crimson..

If, like me, you're on blood thinning medication, you will realise that you suffer from minor cuts almost every time you shave. That's my experience anyway and whether I use a DE, SE or straight. It's not lack of technique - I've shaved for 50 years. The strange thing is, I can clean myself up in the morning with alum and styptic etc., But the following morning when I wake up, there sre still blood traces on the pillow.
My service is good, fast and cheap. Select any two and discount the third.

Thanked: 22Not counting weepers on the neck, maybe once or twice a week, and when it happens it's usually on or around the chin.

Thanking you for "Hustle Butter". This is the most amazing stuff ever. I have a problem area that is prone to razor bumps and have had it most of my life so I have tried lots of things. This is the fastest healing I've ever had.
I will add that results will vary.I've tried most all the other remedies with varied results but so far this stuff works the best for me.
