I finished honing a couple of days ago and I didn't watch the square point and it went straight in my skin on my cheek and it was a dark red when bleeding so I know I cut my self good. So I had to stop shaving for awhile so it can heal

I got a few cuts when starting out.
Nowadays, I really don't see any cuts anymore.
A small weeper on the back of my head does happen every now and then, if there's a zit or something I wasn't aware ofBjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

I draw blood about every time. Nothing serious but I often refer to shaving time as drawing blood for the red cross. ;0)

Thanked: 0My first couple of cuts were definitely related to pressure or just not being careful.
However, my last couple (way smaller and thinner) weren't noticeable until post shave inspection. I felt no pain, tug, etc... just when inspecting it noticed the cut.
Does that point to a specific problem? Stretching? Dull blade? To much pressure?

Discounting weepers, only really had one cut, quite deep, on my right middle finger, when changing hands and not paying attention.

In almost 16 years of shaving with a straight, I've only cut myself a few times. The worst one required stitches to reattach the bottom of my earlobe to my face(first shave with a spike point).

A real cut? it's been a long time indeed. Tiny nicks? every now and then if I'm not focused when I shave and it's always in one of two places too.

Thanked: 1587By definition, too often. At the moment I am having to be careful around the chin area after having a beard for a couple of decades or so.
