Thanked: 38The site that you posted has good standard prices, but MUCH more important than the cost is a shop tha guarantees you that the razor is professionally honed. The factory honing is not sufficient and, as a beginner, you won't be able (and I don't advice it) to hone by yourself.

Safe to say any Dovo will treat you right. I own the Black Star model and love it. I think you should get the one that appeals to you the most aesthetically. I personally dig the first and second pictures.

Thanked: 220My 2 favourite Dovo's are my 5/8 Bismark with bone scales, and my 5/8 Black Star. Both are affordable, look good, and hold a good edge.

I got my Bismarck from Jarrod at Superior shave and he got it shave ready for me and it shaves amazing.
The white Bismarck here in Canada is close to 200$ dollars but i got lucky when purchased it for 140$ from the U.S and did not get charged any custom fees.
I think 150$ is a great price as even if i had to pay more it would be worth it.
The Dovo Special with the faux tortoise scales is amazing also but i don't know if it is only mine but i have some issues with it getting water spots easily.
Even though i clean it thoroughly and apply mineral oil.*****HAVE A GREAT SHAVE*****
