I saw that one as well, but let it go. It had a combination of English and Dutch in the add and the razors were "not my type" anyway. I agree that it wouldn't hurt to mention the source...
By the way @decraew:
Congratulations on the Friedrich Herder score recently. I wanted that one pretty bad, but figured you wanted it more badly and so I also let that one go.
Maybe it would be a good idea to adjust among us Benelux guy's who is after what kind of blades. It would prevent us from bidding wars on Marktplaats.
A small PM with "Hey, I REALLY would like this razor" could then prevent it from going up too high...
Just a thought. Perhaps I should start a new thread on this.

I'm the one who put up the ad on marketplace. I bought them from Neil but I find them far to light and small because I have very large hands. It's not that I'm not happy with the quality of the razors and they are extremely sharp but I'm going to buy heavier and larger ones. The strop I sell because I want a longer one and the pouch isn't going to fit those razors. Hey if anyone is interested here it can go for €150 for the whole set (if in Belgium, otherwise + postage) because I know they would get a good new home.
btw any suggestions on what razors would be more fitting for me, looking for heavier and larger ones. Have a nice one, RonLast edited by Snuff; 02-09-2011 at 06:57 AM.

@snuff:
I don't really understand how hands could be that big but I'll take your word for it. Maybe you could try some of the larger blades because the scales are normally also largerThose are not cheap though. Take a look for instance at an 8/8" Revisor. Maybe we could arrange you trying out a few of my larger razors - but Roeselare is not really near Duffel isn't it ?
Regarding your add: it would have been a good thing to mention you bought the blades recently from Neil (from the invisibleedge right ?). Now, the problem is, on a general interest website like marktplaats, 2dehands etc you will never be able to sell those blades at a good price. You need to go to more specialised websites like SRP, Coticule.be, coupe-chou club, ... But as a new member it may not be that easy to get them sold. Why don't you ask Neil whether he's willing to take them back and explain that you'd like a larger blade ?Last edited by decraew; 02-09-2011 at 09:50 AM.

I think the easiest thing is to exchange email addresses and do as we already do sending each others emails as the rules on srp forbid price influencing
kind regards

It looks like their good razors.
But not exactly good marktplaats scores. I've gotten WAY cooler blades for WAY less money off marktplaats. Just pay attention and you can find the best deals on there.

Snuff, I think you have a decent chance of selling them at Marktplaats.nl if you sell them seperately with 3 good pictures for each item. I would also leave out the English text but definately add the shop details you got the razors from and who honed them.
A weight preference I can understand, I find a light 4/8 razor tricky to use. How about a picture of you holding a razor? You must have giant hands. My hands are kind of big but even if my fingers were twice as thick I think I could still hold a razor with 3 fingers.

It was a blade that looks pretty much like a #14 Filly and you would really have to zoom in on the tang to sort of make out the lettering to be a Herder. Black celluloid scales and size probably about 7/8. I went up to 26, you went up to 28 and then I retracted my bids. It disappeared a couple of days ago, so I assumed the seller must have agreed with your offer. Maybe someone else took it. I don't know.
