Thanked: 580Picked up a cheap horse hair brush over a year ago, and it is still going strong. I only have one badger hair brush, probably not one of the better ones, but i prefer the horse hair. Apparently anthrax was a problem with these brushes around WW1 through not being sterilized, and pretty much ended the use of them.

Thanked: 20I have some of these brushes too. I say some but I do not know why as that the one I use for most of my shaves is still in fine shape. I thought they would be disposable at this price so I got a few. for me, I love this brush, great lather, feels nice on the skin, no Badger stink. I really don't think you could go wrong with one of these. Yes it's inexpensive, but I think it is one hell of a brush, and is and has been my go to brush for well over a year.
