    Default Scuttle or bowl

So would you suggest I use a bowl or a scuttle for a cream?

    Matt,

Check around Sarah's website for the Moss Scuttle. It is very different from the scuttle pictures previously posted. The pics previously posted are for scuttles that were used when hot water was not readily available. Sarah makes the Moss Scuttle, which is great for keeping your lather warm. It was not designed for creating lather, but as a "parking" place for your brush between passes.

The moss scuttle is well worth it in my opinion. I use mine every shave. I even take it with me when I visit the family. I don't know if I would take it if I had to fly though. That would be just too risky.

Most guys seem to prefer lathering in another mug or bowl, but I had a problem lathering in the scuttle it self. I have a large brush and the smaller scuttle, and still I get good lather built in it. Just me?

Of course, this will probably change when my new Ayers super dooper, textured lather bowl comes in from Sara.

That's very cool. I need to get one to replace that old wooden one I've been using.
