Another horse mane or horse tail vote, doubled up, forced through a hole in a wooden handle, wrapped with wet sinew at the bottom and trimmed atop.

Well, I forgot-har har.
Actually the point was to elicit a lot of history and lore and see if everyone truly appreciates what goes into the making of a shave brush and possibly to see if anyone had any bright ideas to really improve the shave brush be it a different critter or some ergonomic shape.
Maybe to see if anyone actually tries to make one from scratch. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Thanked: 2284I would love and try my hand at tying a knot. I know you can get loose badger on Alibaba. I'm sure it's not as easy as it looks, but you only get better at something the more you do it.

Thanked: 1184I have thought about tying a knot. Designed a jig in my head pictured putting all those slippery hairs in place perfectly. dipping it in an epoxy and letting it set. Considered time and material......went and bought some knots :<0)
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
