I as well have not had any issues with TGN knots in my brushes. Daily use, and prior to this year, carried around the country for work with no ill effects. I have used a couple of the aliexpress knots in some restores, they're alright, but I prefer the TGNs even to the AOS silvertip I started with.

Why would I? I spent several years trying different brushes. Right now, I have... ummm... Thäters. Exclusively. Granted, I have a few Frank Shaving a friend brought back from China because they cost something like $5-10 locally (and, inexplicably, something like $50-100 in US online shops - the wonders of globalisation), but I would not call them brushes, really.

Out of curiosity, can someone explain what this "two band" thing is all about? I see that (and "three band") quite a bit but haven't figured out what it means.

Also, I don't want to get in the middle of anything here, but for the purpose of this thread it would be great if any brushes being reviewed fell into the "$100 and under" category Just sayin

Not sure if I can commit to that with the brushes I have, but keep in mind that most all the knots in the review will be under $100.00 in value. Often it's the handle & craftsmanship that raises the overall price.

I guess I meant any new brushes you're going to review!

I can do this for you,,, I'll post reviews of my collection under $100.00 knots here & the new Thater competitor(probably over $100.00) I will start another thread & just link it here. Is that O.K. ?

John,you need to Clarify,I know you have many brushes that cost over $100.00,but you have have no brushes with $100.00 knots.
