    Good luck Andrew, I've spent some money on boars just to give away or up on the shelf to look at, I just can't like them, just my preference, I know you can always change it so give it a whirl, but if I ever find one I,m going badger Tc

    And at the risk of rounding off any of the stamp, I held to this on the bottom

    The reflection is a little deceiving. The stamping is still very tight and crisp.
    Make sure you dry the bottom if you leave this standing knot up full time I think. Probably what caused the depth of decay under there, or maybe a custom stand to ensure it stays dry..
    I've treated the entire handle to some Renaissance wax so the shine should hold up well for some time.
    The odd touch up with mothers will ensure it holds its own for another generation.
