Thanked: 3225I would keep in mind that $100 US is about $138 Canadian so buying in the US can be not such a bargain. The add shipping onto that too.

I've got a couple of Frank's Shaving brushes and have found them to be suitable - a best badger and a silvertip.
I've also got a Semogue 1305(?) which I don't use all that often.
Given that I've never tried any other brushes you can tale my opinion with a grain of salt.
I want to get this one next

Don't know whether you made your choice already or not, but...
If I were looking for a badger brush in your price range, I would go for a Simpson Colonel X2 or Commodore X2/X3 in Best. The two Simpson Best brushes I have are just as nice or nicer than a lot of "Silvertip" knots I've used. And Simpson is a legendary brand of unquestioned quality. MHO.Mike

Thanked: 26Maybe I am just having bad luck, but I have been having problems with shedding with my Simpson Colonel. I even contacted Simpson and they replaced it. The new one didn't shed for the first few months but now it gives off more than 10 hairs every shave. Unfortunate, as I otherwise really like the brush.
I too am looking for a reasonably-priced badger that doesn't shed. Have seen the Omegas including 636 that look like great bargains (if they don't shed).Steve

Thanked: 26I personally am a little reluctant to get another Simpson brush due to constant shedding from my Colonel. Maybe it's unique to that model, but from what I've read elsewhere, it appears that Simpson has had some quality control problems in recent years.
