Yes, I had heard of the shedding problems with Simpson's brushes but went ahead and bought a Simpsons Manchurian LE a few years ago and it has been good. Same with the 2 Simpsons synthetic brushes I have, they have both been non shedders too.

Simpsons may have had shedding problem in recent years and once you get a rep like that it is hard to shake it off. Add to that the fact that there are likely old stock Simpson brushes in some vendors inventory from that time when shedding was an supposedly an issue.

I think ever since Simpsons was bought by Progress Vulfix and the operation moved to the Isle of Man there has been a big emphasis on better QC.

To try and avoid the shedding issue I would buy directly from Simpsons or confirm with a vendor that the Simpson brush they have is new stock from the Isle of Man operation.

My Simpson's Commodore has shed now and again, but the brush still looks and lathers the same as always.

Must have been a bad run of brushes. I have several different Simpsons brushes, Polo 8, Polo 10, Chubby, all have maybe shed a couple of hairs between them - stellar brushes IMO - and top performers, there is always a Simpson brush or two in my immediate reach.
