Well from that pic I don't see any obvious reason for it to blow out. I bet they will help you, Tc

Well....... got an email from Mark @ Simpson this morning......and said it must have been dropped on a tile floor or porcelain sink and was not a manufacturer defect ....and have a NICE DAY. So I guess iam a liar.............If I dropped the brush ,I'd own it ,period. Iam not one of "those " people.

That is disappointing. I am not sure that you could tell from a photo whether or not it was a manufacturing defect. As you say you didn't drop it and there is nobody else that could have. Also the crack appeared a good while ago and the whole thing just came off recently.
I wondered if the knot could have somehow been moving inside the handle putting stress on it whilst you were lathering, but it beats me really.
I am sorry to hear that you have not had a positive response though.Fact: Opinions are not the same as facts... Well, that's my opinion anyway

Thanked: 3226Sorry to hear what the reply was. I guess you could have one of the brush makers do up a Polo handle and reset the knot into it.

Such service saddens me. I have had brushes do the wedge out due to the knot accumulating enough soap in the knot that the hairs swelling with the hot water also swell the soap. That may cause a fracture over time.
Still poor service!

Could you cut the opening out in the broken piece just a bit, then CA the pieces back together? No need to toss a good brush.
It's just Sharpening, right?

So much for expecting supportive customer service from a boutique brand.
