Thanked: 38Happened to my Classic 1 a few years ago. No trauma, no hot water; knot simply swelled and cracked the handle like yours. Knot was still tight so I slowly filled the crack with CA glue, maybe 10 or 12 thin applications. Still my favorite brush.

Just tossing out my thoughts and have never had one of these and cannot find quickly what the material of the handle is.
It could be a cold shut in the molding of the handle rearing its ugly head.

You may want to consider, at least, salvaging the knot as I am sure you can either send it to a brush artisan to turn you another handle and set this knot into it, or order a handle off of ebay or etsy and set the knot into it, yourself.
Good luck.Laughter, Love, & Shaving

Other alternative is to email Mark I believe at Simpson and ask him about putting the knot into a new handle, he's done it for customers before and might be cheaper than just buying a new one.....
