Yep, what they said. I dont have ether of these brushes but i do have a tight knot brush that is too dence for the loft and it takes some sork to get the soap out. Normally end up using a lot more soap than needed for the shave to get it to act properly.
It's just Sharpening, right?

Thanked: 3228For me, I have found that setting 2 band badger knots lofts to around twice the knot size works best for me. Makes for good face lathering and the odd time I bowl lather too. That gives me good backbone and good lather pass through. That would mean a 24mm knot would be set around 48mm-50mm loft. Never had a 30mm knot but I would try a loft of around 58mm-60mm on that size knot. That is for me, others may like them set differently.

Your right Mike. You can get a nice handful of lather then slap it on the face. Lol. Its a great brush but i should have not set it so deep. Set it with marine epoxy so it aint coming out!
It's just Sharpening, right?

TBH, I like mine set a bit deeper.
But then I like them a bit stiffer as well.
