World's Ugliest Shaving Mug
My dear Seraphim,
Some mornings I feel that way, too — and blame the mirror.

World's Ugliest . . .
Seraphim,
Yes, I know exactly what you mean.
Then again, I don't know how to do that. I spent years in radio waking up at 4 a.m. for my morning radio program. Now that I no longer am in radio, it's a miracle if I can stay in bed past 6 a.m. Most mornings I still awaken at 4 a.m. and shuffle to my writing desk with a cup of coffee.
But then comes the time for that morning shave and somehow all seems to be well, even looking at myself in the mirror.
Say well.

Do you use the Kruitvat brush?! I bought one, but hated it. IMHO it smells like a wet dog and after two uses it looked like and old paintbrush that was left standing upsidedown in a glass of thinner for too long.
I bought a cup just like that with a nasty Delftsblauw print at the Blokker, but I love it. Stays warm for a while and has plenty of room to whip up a decent lather.
