    Hey Daan,

Don't use that brush any more, use a badger hair brush now. That brush didn't smell bad to me at all, maybe you forgot to clean it
It looks like it got run over by a car though.

On a side note, why don't you join the dutch srp group we've got on the site.
We also run a separate IRC channel for our Dutch conversations.

    Greetings,
    kevor.

I didn't know you had to clean a brush... my badger didn't need it.

In pre-Victorian times before plumbing came into common use in homes, the men retired to the smoking room or "with drawing room" after dinner, separate from the women, so that the butler could remove a pewter vessel that looked very similar to a hospital bed urinal from a cupboard and walk around the room so that the "gentlemen" could take a leak without having to leave the house to go to the looh. Your scupper looks an awful lot like one of those urinals.

And that was in the rich and luxurious manor houses.

Now you know why butlers make so much money these days.

The problem is that once you put your puck of soap in there, it effectively plugs up all those holes, and thus you get no more drainage than if they were not there at all.

I like yours all the same. Pure machismo.

The holes help provide a little suction as well as help it to air dry, as the water runs off the puck. Doesn't it?

A scuttle with suction? Sort of a full service deal eh? A morning shave with a truly happy ending.

Well, yeah, of course. Doesn't everyone have their favorite scuttle? And you thought that was to put your brush in?
