Thanked: 21Larry at whippeddog offers a selection of badger knots, also. I've never used them as I think the GN Finest is outstanding but he's great so they must be great, too.

Thanked: 1I'm not 100% positive about this, but I believe Bernd at Shavemac sells knots. They are custom order, however.

I just got a bunch of knots from FrankShaving [iantang on eBay] and they are great, he will make any size you require.
If you need his email just PM me or email [email protected]

Thanked: 8If you are ok with just a "pure" badger hair brush, Woodcraft sells 20mm pure knots for $10.25 maybe not the best but I am currently using a $5 boar brush so its a step up for me .

Thanked: 8Doryferon,
You are completely right I made a beautiful brush that I hand carved and put one of those cheap knots in. Couldn't be more dissapointed with the brush. Impossible to lather at all so I'm back to using my $3 boar brush.
I wonder if I can stiffen the pure badger some how.

Wet Shaving Products sells some good knots but they aren't as inexpensive as TGN.
