Thanks! I think the outfit you linked to may be selling the same knots. It looks to me as though they may be buying Turchetta (Golden Nib)knots and selling them at a hefty margin.

I don't think they are. They appear to offer a couple of sizes that Tony at Golden Nib doesn't offer. I've never dealt with them personally though as I'm more than happy with the knots at Golden Nib. Originally Posted by icedog

I just bought a wonderful silver tip bader hair knot from these folks: Fountain Pen - Antique Pen - Vintage Pen - Fountain Pen Ink - Penworks AZ
I actually bought it on eBay for 19.00 + shipping. But, it is from those folks.~~ Vern ~~
I was born with nothing and managed to keep most of it.

If you are ok with just a "pure" badger hair brush, Woodcraft sells 20mm pure knots for $10.25 maybe not the best but I am currently using a $5 boar brush so its a step up for me .

You are completely right I made a beautiful brush that I hand carved and put one of those cheap knots in. Couldn't be more dissapointed with the brush. Impossible to lather at all so I'm back to using my $3 boar brush.
I wonder if I can stiffen the pure badger some how.
