Great Brush
I have had this brush for almost a year now and I must say this thing can lather up something fierce! I can count on two hands how many hairs its lost and its pretty soft. It holds its own compared to others that I have tried...but for 10.00 you can pass it up. This thing is my daily brush.

Shea Moisture brush at Target
Gentlemen:
I have the Shea Moisture brush sold at Target and find it a good bargain. (The Shea Moisture shave cream was disappointing by itself, but when blended wit soap in the scuttle, it helped produce good lather and a comfortable shave.) Subsequently I bought several more brushes and gave them to friends. They liked the Shea Moisture brush, too.
Regards,
Obie

Great point Obie! I got a couple of friends switched over to Straights and gave this for them to start and they all love it.

Just picked up one of these for myself and I really like it. Much softer than my boar bristle VDH. Bought the cream as well and agree that by itself it is not much -- smells good though. I mixed mine with VDH soap and a little glycerin and OH BOY. Made 4 passes and still had foam available to wash my face with afterwards. The brush holds much more soap/foam as well. I couldn't make good lather on my face, but remember I am still learning. Lather in the scuttle was very very thick.
The only problem I had with this combo is the build up on my razor. I noticed this before when using cream and the Shay butter cream did the same thing. But it wipes of easily.
Did we decide this thing is a badger, synthetic or something else. The box I bought said 'organic' so I assume real hair. But I've never had a badger brush so I've nothing of that sort to compair to.

Thanked: 1185Have recon'd my local Targets and no joy, no visual. These are in the shaving section right? I can't believe none of the local Targets carry these but that certainly appears to be the case. Maybe check a few closer to work.

Target online does not show the brush by itself at all. However it does have a Men's Shea Moisture Shave 3-pc. Travel Kit for $14.99. Would this be the same brush in the kit that is available by itself in some stores. I've looked here in the Fredericksburg, VA local stores with no luck on finding one.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone tried this brush with MWF? or a similarly 'hard' soap?

Found mine in a Super Target after searching several other local Target stores, in the shave section on a shelf with cream, lotion and other stuff to rub on your face.

I found one in my local super Target as well, which is in a fairly upscale retail area (not sure if that matters) here in Knoxville, TN. I only have the VDH boar to compare it to, and although it is very soft and comfortable, it seems to have good backbone and no problem holding water and lather. I rather like it! Think it will be my daily, at least for a while.
